Eye Treatment
Laser eye surgery is completely painless and only takes a few short minutes to correct both eyes. This allows you to be back in the comfort of your home in a matter of hours.
LASIK Surgery Procedure
First, collyrium drops are used to completely numb your eyes. Then you are comfortably reclined in the laser workstation with background music to help you relax. With your eyelids held open, the surgeon makes a "corneal flap" using a microkeratome (a precision surgical instrument) for LASIK surgery. The flap is then lifted up so that the eye can be treated by the computer-controlled laser. Finally, the flap is replaced. No stitches are needed. The same procedure is then carried out on the other eye.
This completely painless operation only lasts about seven minutes for both eyes. You will be back in the comfort of your home in about an hour and generally can return to work the following day.
LASIK Surgery Results
LASIK surgery will improve your vision and free you from having to wear glasses or contacts. After the surgery, your vision may be blurry for several minutes and will then slowly return to normal. It will take about 2 to 12 hours for normal vision to return, depending on the importance of the visual correction.
